Rihanna knows how to make an entrance — and at this year’s Met Gala, she turned heads for more than just her fashion. The 37-year-old music icon arrived with partner A$AP Rocky by her side and casually revealed she’s expecting their third child.
The couple, who’ve been together since late 2019, are already proud parents to two young boys: RZA, now 2, and 21-month-old Riot. Their growing family caught the spotlight as Rihanna made the announcement in true red-carpet style.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna shared how she’s feeling in these early weeks of pregnancy. “Honestly, I feel surprisingly great,” she said. “I expected to be more wiped out, but I’m excited and just taking it day by day.”
Fans have been anxiously awaiting her ninth studio album — the follow-up to 2016’s Anti — and some feared this new baby news might mean further delays. But Rihanna reassured everyone with a smile: “We might even get a few visuals out. I can still sing, don’t worry!”
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky was glowing just as much as Rihanna. Talking to the Associated Press, he described the moment as “amazing,” saying it felt right to finally share their happy secret. “We were tired of hiding it. It felt like the right time to show the world what we’ve been growing — and we’re just glad people are embracing it with love.”
Calling the pregnancy “a blessing,” the 36-year-old rapper emphasized the warmth and positivity they’ve received. “You know, not everyone wants to see others win. But we’ve felt nothing but love from people, and we really appreciate it. Love is love.”
